Sunflowers on Karolinenplatz - Welcome Hotel Darmstadt trainees turned garndeners

Darmstadt. Welcome Hotel Darmstadt’s trainees have joined forces to plant sunflowers in front of the hotel on Karolinenplatz. One sunflower for each trainee. Which all adds up to the grand total of 16. On 1^st August a further 4 young people will begin their professional training in our hotel.

Hotel manager André Schulz came up with the idea of asking the department heads to look after the containers on Karolinenplatz together with their trainees. The "gardeners" were asked not only to plant the flowers but to design and create the beds themselves. “The design and planiting of these beds has becomequite a project for the hotel’s trainees from each department“  says Head of Personnel Beatrix Hähnle. "Our aim is to send out a clear signal that despite the credit crunch Welcome Hotels is not only still creating training places for our young people but we are also looking optimistically into the future", adds André Schulz.
