German Tractor and Model Car Museum

The history of the tractor in Germany began in 1921 with the legendary Lanz Bulldog – the first hot-bulb-fired, crude-oil-burning tractor. Prior to this there had only been individually designed tractors and motorised ploughs but no production line of such machinery the first of which came from America as did the naming of them as “tractors”.
